AMOS (a mess of stories)

     K, I got a story for you.
So I went to work earlier in the morning than usual (I have pretty flexible hours, I just have to get stuff done) and the place hadn't opened yet. It was fine, I could get in, and there was one other guy there. He's probably a little older than me (in his 20s) and I've avoided him 'cause he smokes (not to say he isn't nice or whatever, but if you choose to smoke, which is a poor life choice, who's to say you won't make other poor life choices?). He said good morning while I was clocking in and I said good morning back. Nothing out of the ordinary. We do our jobs, other people arrived, and everything was dandy. Then later I'm walking to the back to get some more supplies and he was leaning on one of the back walls on break or something. As I walk by, he says (in a slightly almost cocky sounding voice):
"Hey I forgot to ask you where you got your Star Wars mask."
You know, 'cause I have a Star Wars mask (Obviously). And I turn over my shoulder and say:
"Oh, my Grandma made it for me," and kind of kept walking, but still looking over my shoulder.
And he kind of laughs and says, "Oh, cool."
It was only in hindsight that my mind figured it out (like a whole week later). The tone of voice, the way he phrased it, everything.

    . . .

That was by far the worst, COVID pick-up line I have ever heard.
    Also the first.
I told my parents and they got a kick out of it, enough in fact for my dad to make a social media post about it. I'm adding that to my list of funny pick-up stories (which is ironic that I have a list since I've never had a boyfriend).
    But yeah.

There was the baby bird trying to learn to fly the other day. He flew in front of my legs and we think he hit the chair on the porch because he sat around like he was stunned or something.

Then my fam did a little traveling and I got some nice pics.

So yeah.
Thanks for tuning in $)

Baby you're a __fill in the blank__

Now most of us hear "baby you're a ____" and think of Katy Perry singing Firework.

But oh honey.
But what you should realize, is baby we are psychos. I am a psycho. We should have all noticed this over the 4th, as we maniacs in America set off 1.09 billion dollars worth of fireworks (yes, I looked it up). This was my first year doing more than watching, holding a sparkler, or throwing Pop-its at the ground. Oh I set off fireworks.
And it was GLORIOUS.

It was beautiful. Best. Night. Of. The. Year.

Now, I understand it's hard to take good pictures of fireworks, and you see nice ones like above, and think, "darn how'd they do that mine are all blurry." The reason you don't see other sad firework pictures is because nobody wants you to know they struggle too. So, take comfort:

I hope you all had a great 4th and got to set off at least throw some Pop-its:)

Have fun storming the castle

. . .

So. . .
What do you wanna talk about?
Happy JULYYYYYYY!!!!!

How's your July so far? Mine is going

I mean, it's only been one day of July so far (not even) but that doesn't matter!
I haven't done that much creative lately. I bit of cake decorating and that's about it. I know there's some things I'm supposed to post some pictures of and haven't, but yeah. So I figured we'd talk!

How are you?
. . .
Oh good.
. . .
Me? I'm great thanks!
. . .
No I'm not being dumb!
. . .
Well if that's how you're gonna be. Have a nice life.
. . .
Thanks.

Yes, I'm bored right now.

June's Music

Finding a song for June proved to be difficult, so I finally just grabbed one I sorta liked:

Johnny And June by  Heidi Newfield

Onto the show! This month was tough, as I go through music like I go through men.

(That was joke, I couldn't pass up the opportunity).
But seriously, I found SO MUCH MUSIC THIS MONTH. Some of the songs are ones that I listened to nonstop at the beginning of the month. Then I found a lot more last week. So it was really hard to pick a few. So that's why I'm posting early to prevent me from adding anymore.

Castle Of Glass by  Linkin Park
Not my typical style of music, but I enjoyed the melody and story.

Wouldn't It Be Nice by  The Beach Boys
This song just makes me smile.

The Things We Do For Love by  10cc

Please Mr. Postman by  The Marvelettes

Drive By (Clean) by  Train
(This one contains a "scared as H-E-Double hockey-sticks")
I found I really like Train songs. I'm going to have to try more of their stuff.

Dance Monkey (Clean) by  Tones and I
(The only thing in it is the unappreciated variant of oh my gosh)
K, it's just catchy. You can't deny me that. Not to say the voice is my favorite, I've heard her sing more normal, she's got a good voice.

Nike, just do it.

FOMO

   What is FOMO?
Well, see, FOMO stands for Fear Of Missing Out. Basically, the grass is always greener on the other side that one can't actually see. It's the thing of, "I'm tired, so I don't want to go to so&so's party. Oh but what if other-so&so is there?! And what if they have all the fun without me?! I'll just go." Then they usually have a horrible time 'cause they're too exhausted and the party wasn't all that great any way.
So FOMO is being afraid that you're going to miss out something. Raise your hand if you have it!

( Me: )

Enneagram 7s are classic FOMOs. And as we know, I'm an Enneagram 7.
Now, it's not as bad as it sounds. Yeah, it's hard, but it honestly means that I miss out on a lot less things than other people do. Like if a person doesn't go to aforementioned party, but the next day every one's texting and saying, "Man, you shoulda been there!" "It was so much fun!" etc. So I don't miss out on much, but I'm often really worn out from not missing things.
But the reason I was doing this post, was to give you an example of FOMO from my life. Specifically, this morning.
So I was driving to work and I was struggling to find something on the radio. I have 6 shortcuts for the radio, but I don't like 3 of them. It's a long story. But I leave them there for now. The other 3 play 1) mostly 80s music, but some other stuff, 2) 80s, 90s, & Today, and 3) mostly 80s. Between the 3 of them, I can usually find something I like.
But today it wasn't happening. I stuck with the second mostly 80s radio and finally More Than A Feeling came on. I do like More Than A Feeling, it's in Herbie Fully Loaded (which I've watched forever), but I wouldn't say it was my favorite-est of all music. I do like it. As I was listening to it, I started thinking about changing the radio. It wasn't that I got bored, but for all I knew the 80s, 90s, & Today one was playing Someone You Loved (My fav. song that will be on the radio).
FOMO. I was afraid that while I was listening to a song I liked, another radio station was playing my favorite song.
    Sad I know.
    So any way.
Please share a FOMO experience in the comments.
This is More Than A Feeling by Boston for those who haven't heard it:

JULLYYYYYYY!!!!!

I love the 4th of July, for certain reasons that I will not disclose,  (no, my birthday is not on the 4th), but I just love the colors and the fireworks. I also love wearing 4th of July colors. I am right now, but that wasn't planned. So I'm tired of the yellow background so I'm switching to 4th of July. So it's great.

SO happy 4th!

HOLA PACOS!

SOooooooo, I've been a bit busy ':) Soory.

(Yes, you bunch of hippies, I used a gif of THAT)
Jazz is good, he likes is shell now.

Bob the snail is also alive, but we were uncertain for a while due to Jazz knocking him off the glass so he was just DEAD in the water hahaha.

I did some practice with color selection on pictures of Jazz:

Moving on, I've been doing some room design, and got an epic Star Wars poster and epic bookend:

The bookend is called Fred the End hahahaha.

I have been painting and am going to make myself some wall art out of records. This is something I've done for a while as gifts, but never gotten around to making a post about one. But since I do it a lot for other people, I thought it would be nice to have one for me. I don't have a picture yet of my final design so sorry.

I finished my dress, but I haven't taken any good pictures of it yet, so look for Sewing pt. III coming soon!

But I'm alive and hopefully will be posting soon. I've been working on another pg. for this-ness and so you should be checking that out. I'm also over the yellow and gray design, is anybody else? Comment below if I should change it earlier than I was planning.
