May's Music

I didn't have a ton of new music this month that I ya know LOVED. It was mostly just some fun new music that I'll delete from my play list in a month or two because YouTube's shuffle play doesn't work so it just plays all the songs you put in your play list 'cause you thought you wouldn't mind hearing it every once in a while instead you hear it twice every freakin' day grumble grumble grumble.
    ANYWHOOOO.
So the new blogger is being a jerk in the YouTube department and I'm going to leave feedback about it, but basically I went to get the link like I usually do on YouTube and when I put it in it gave me an error message. I figured out that they just want you to search like you normally would. But it wouldn't pop up the same videos normal YouTube would. So I couldn't find the one I wanted. So I went back and cut out another 2 sentences about me being upset so you know that I'm mostly over now.

May It Be by  Enya

You Are The Woman by  Firefall
I love this song and it sounded super familiar and I figured I'd heard it a long time ago. That happens to me a lot when it's a song I heard when I was little. But then I realized apparently it's in Herbie Fully Loaded which I've been watching since FOREVER. So that must be where I heard it though I can't remember when they play it in the movie.

Be My Baby by  The Ronettes
I've been listening to old like I think 40s-50s music lately.

Lollipop by  The Chordettes

Ichiban No Takaramono by  LiSA
I had to throw one Japanese song in okay? I really like this one, it's sad.

Don't Dream It's Over by  Crowded House

Last one!
Hey Soul Sister by  Train
I know there's some debatability to the appropriateness of this song, but I can't help but love it.

I could keep going, but anyway. Let me know your favorite song with the word "May" in it, in the comments! Life is a highway.

Magnets

I like magnets, always have always will. They're so magnetic $1

(For those of you who were confused about the $1 I was trying to simulate a smirking emoji with sunglasses)

So the point of this was there's this little magnetic ball puzzle in my house and I love to play with it. When it's brand new it's in the shape of a square, and all the little balls are lined up perfectly to make said square. The balls are also rainbow, and when it's new the colors are all lined up nicely. And it's just fun to play with. So I pulled apart the balls into strands and just started having fun:

So yeah this post was REALLY random. Sorry. But anyway!

Fairy Garden 2020

So I kind of afore mentioned this post by bringing up that I'd be posting "soon" about my fairy garden. Part of the problem is it's been changing a lot lately. I bought a raunuculus (said "ranucula") which was GORGEOUS, but it dies after it's early spring bloom. Now I've got almost all the flowers I want, but I'm holding out for these baby Fuchsias I saw last year. But I'd already filled my garden. They came later, so I'm just waiting.
This year I went for a very GARDEN look. I've done forest, beach, camping, and others recently, but this year I really wanted GARDEN. I got this really cute gazebo a couple years back from Hobby Lobby (in case they didn't keep carrying them) and wanted to use it for the garden theme. So here it is:

So the yellow flowers are Carabachia, the blue and white ones are Violas, the red and ground cover thing to the right I don't know, the tall thing on the right is a snap dragon, and the white/pink flowers are dianthus. In the little yellow glass thing is chives.

The pictures are kind of in a weird order and I didn't want to completely rearrange 'em so I just made sure the important ones are at the top. Anyway. I'm probably not spelling carabochia right okay. Fairies welcome!

Off to Neverland!

FRIEENNDDDD!

I got a new friend!. . .

. . . It's a fish ':>

He's a Stars & Stripes Beta:

He likes hiding behind the plant and shell. When used to have Betas, they liked hiding in the shell, so I picked out one with a big opening. But so far he hasn't been adventurous enough to go in it.
    He's still a bit edgy.

After much debate, his name is Jazz. Mostly because of the Transformer. So here's a 15 sec. clip from the original show (it's a really random scene sorry, but it was the best thing YouTube had of just Jazz saying something) so you can see a little bit of what I'm thinking. Jazz is the one that gets stuck.

So if I ever talk for the fish, now you know what to imagine the fish's voice sounds like :)

So Jazz!

The other name I liked was Seaspray (another Transformer), but it was kind of long and a bit of a tongue twister. This is Seaspray:

My neighbor next door wanted me to name him Captain America, but I was like eh. I like Cap but I don't know. Just wasn't working for me.
Red Alert is one of my fav. Transformers and he's red, white, and blue. But I didn't think my mom would go for it. I was thinking of saving the name for if I ever got a completely red one 'cause I would just call him Red for short sometimes.

Anyway. He will probably be mentioned a lot, and I'd like to take some more pictures of him doing cool things in his vase, but he's still a bit on edge from getting moved around and thrown in a bag then a freakin' huge vase-thing with a freakin' live plant so yeah. He's still adjusting. When I woke up he was just chilling, exploring a bit, I turned on my lamp and he didn't flinch. Then I got up and he FREAKED OUT. I mean not bad, but he went from 1 to 9 in like half a split 2nd. He's calmed down again and soon he'll be used to me talking to him like he's a human all the time. But yeah. Ladies and Gentlemen, Jazz :1

Also, funny side story. Last night we got him all settled and I walked back to my room to go to bed later. And on the inside of the glass there's this brown-ish dot and I'm like: "What's wrong with you?! I haven't owned 12 hours and you've already done your business on my nice clean vase! AHHHH." But upon closer inspection, I found out it was a little itty-bitty snail! I believe it came in on the live plant I got. And this thing could move. I watched him get to the top of the vase and he didn't go past the water line so I assume he needs water to survive.

He's missing this morning. So either the fish ate him, or he's hiding in something on the bottom. I'll let you know if we find him.

   His name is Bob :)

Sewing Pt. II

I'm on top of it! I know what you're thinking:

Say what you will, I really am! I had to sew a dummy of the skirt to ensure that a 12 was too big 'cause when we took the measurements and compared it to the package, I was an 8 everywhere except the waist, where I was size 12. . .
   Science $)

Also, Congrats you'all on making it through April!!!!!!!! YAYAYAYAYAY. A lot of us of consumed more chocolate this month than we have in our entire life. . .

I bet all of you have gained at least a couple pounds. Even I, who hasn't budged in weight for YEARS has finally beat my record weight! (by like .6 lbs.)

So now I've got half of a mix-matched dress that I kind of like:

And for the actual dress, I've got the front panels down and I'm almost done with getting the top piece all attached (I have to restitch the facing which you can't see it's on the inside).

(Do you like my socks? They're ice cream cones)
Once I've done that, I can start sewing the back panels together. Then I get to do a zipper. Yaaaaay.

Then I'll attach the straps and lining to the the back and finally sew the back to the front. And lastly I'll hem it! BOOM
Easy.
As.
Pie.

HAHAHAHAHA. Nah, actually most days of sewing end in tears. Like yesterday!

It's not wise to upset a Wookiee.
