ANOTHER!

 I think we're all glad for a new year. . .

So! Time to talk about me:)

Movies I saw 4 the 1st time this year (I tried to go for the general order in which I watched them but it's a bit of a blur and I don't remember anything of 2020 from before covid haha):

Dirty Dancing was pretty awesome, with great music. But there's a fair amount of content. But it has a lot of famous lines, and Patrick Swayze:) A classic chick-flick, I wouldn't say it's my favorite movie.

We were concerned that I might not enjoy Spaceballs due to the fact that it is a parody of Star Wars, oh but I enjoyed this immensely. It was sooo funny haha. I think my 2 favorite lines were:

This movie was so funny. Whoopi Goldberg is a singer in a casino and she witnesses a murder. In order to keep her safe until the trial Whoopi is hidden in a Convent among nuns.

I'm sorry it was a really funny movie.

I didn't enjoy Artemis Fowl:( Sorry. It was just not as good as the books. They tried to cram something from each of the books into one, and I just don't think they nailed it. I didn't like many of the actor choices, or what they did to some of the characters, but I mostly just didn't like Holly. Artemis was fine, not my favorite, but I was mostly bugged by Holly. They made her too. . . I don't know girly I guess.

Top Gun $) I loved it. It was just awesome. The movie starts with planes taking off an aircraft carrier at sunset (or rise) and ahhhh.  Like a week after I saw it I got the soundtrack on cd for my car and I was listening to it in the morning and the lighting just matched  the movie's intro and I was like dannnnnggg. It was great, a smidgen of content but there's definitely worse. And dude, Val Kilmer is in it.

Saw this for my birthday. . . I liked it, but it's slow. I just couldn't understand what he was saying half the time so we finally turned on subtitles for a while. My dad said we need to see III 'cause that's when things pick up a bit 'cause it was the 80s by then.

This was an epic, cool, and funny movie! It's about a guy who is used as a double for the President while the President is in a coma. And it's just awesome!

With the theaters playing old or older movies, I had the opportunity to see this on the big screen. And dang was it worth it. So amazing, but it was hard to wrap my head around. I had to double check with my friend that I had all the plot points straight.

It was okay? People told me I'd really like it, andddddd I kind of did? I LOVE the intro. It's so hilarious. I do like Star Lord's character because he's a lot like me and of course I love the 80s music and themes, but I'm just not a super huge fan of the rest of it.

 . . .
What.
The.
Heck.
What did this movie add to Marvel Universe? (Language, I know. But heck just slips out every once in a while) What did it add to ANYTHING? What did it add to LIFE ITSELF??!! It took the WEIRDEST turn halfway through, and it was just. . . ugh WEIRD. Yes, the music was nice and I like Star Lord's character, and Mantis was funny, but seriously. This was not a good movie in my opinion.

🎵Grease is the word, is the word, that you heard! It's got groove, it's got feeeeling!
Despite a fair amount of content, this was a rather fun movie. It's a musical, and whilst I don't think I'd like to listen to the soundtrack every day, I did enjoy the music, which is rare. It was funny and about highschoolers in the 60s. Super fun.

What do I even say about this. . . lol. I think this is one of the most BIZARRE movies I've every seen. Ironically, I saw it for a college class. It was a Life of Christ Class, so the idea was to watch a film on Jesus' life and write a paper about it. Now, I chose Jesus Christ Superstar because I thought it was the funny movie. No. This was a 70s-high-on-drugs-musical rendition of Jesus' life. When Jesus sang for the first time I can't even imagine what the look on my face was. My parents joined halfway through and they were like. . . wow. It was painful.

One of my dad's favs. It's just funny. I totally recommend it. And, sorry I have to throw this in, my great grandfather made electric guitars in the 70s called Murph guitars. Well, if you look at Bill's guitar, you'll notice it's a Murph! My mom got her hands on the action figures they made recently because it comes with a Murph guitar toy, and it's the only time one of my great grandpa's guitars was made into a toy. So that was pretty special:)

I kind of liked it? It was weird. Boring. A couple good jokes, but I didn't enjoy it. An overall disappointment to me and my dad who are huge Psych fans.

heaheahea. This was a good movie. My Dad and I saw it when we were scrolling through Amazon Prime and watched the trailer. And we were like, yes. We watched it and sure enough it was super funny. Jack Black is a great actor and he really sold his role.

I.
Absolutely.
LOVED THIS MOVIE!!!!
I saw it once and said, "Yup, this is my new almost favorite movie." ('cause we all know Star Wars is my favorite). I'm not going to tell you anything 'cause it's just that good. IT WAS AWESOME!

A funny comedy about a couple with a broken marriage that gets put in the witness protection program. The funniest parts come from the fact that they're city people but are sent to the country. Despite checking a guide before hand, there was more content than I expected. But a good movie overall.

K, I liked this movie. A hitman (Ashton Kutcher) leaves the business so he can live a normal life and be married. He doesn't tell the girl, but after a while "they" come after him. It's super funny, but a parental guide is recommended. (You must know that when I was rereading through the post to check for typos, I couldn't help but laugh as some of the scenes from the movie popped into my head)

I don't recommend this one, it wasn't great. And good amount of content. We were like, a cool 80s movie, and my dad said he'd seen it. So we went for it, and it was meh. A couple funny jokes, but a LOT of swearing and a couple skipped scenes.

HE'S THE MAN!!! Haahahahaha. My Aunt didn't have really anything on her tv for a while so it was just whatever was on the couple channels broadcasted to everyone. Now, I was babysitting and it's nice to have something on in the background. So I started poking around and found the old game show channel, and then a little later I found Cozi Tv, which plays the 6 million $ man everyday at 9 am. So I've been watching it over the past year. It's older, slow, and just awesome. It started with 3 pilot movies, did 6 seasons, a season of a sister show, and 3 reunion movies. So I saw the first 3 movies. I really enjoy it. Premise: Astronaut Colonel Steve Austin crashes an experimental shuttle and is rebuilt with bionics by the government to become like a super human. They have him go on dangerous missions and stuff and yeah:)

A funny movie about Lucy (Sandra Bullock) who saves the life of a man that is almost run over by a train-subway-thing. He ends up in a coma, and things fall out of control in that she pretends to be his fiancé.

A funny movie about a man in his 40s who's 8 year old self suddenly appears in his life. It's funny and comes highly recommended and I don't remember hearing one swear word.

Yeah, I'd never seen Elf. It was. . . really funny at points and pretty dumb at others. So I guess I can see why some people enjoy it, and I can see why it's not the best.

This was funny:) Good acting, funny plot points, and pain. I do have trouble with movies where everything goes wrong and they manage to fix everything, but I think this one was fine.

I was pleasantly surprised by Candace Against The Universe, I was concerned it wasn't going to be very good by the looks of the trailer. But classic Phineas and Ferb jokes and good characters made it awesome. Not to say the plot was my favorite, but it was still good.

I watched this today, but I'm counting it:)

Some Accomplishments:
-I got a job as a Cake Decorator 4 DQ.

-I painted 2 canvases (almost, the 2nd one is almost done).
-I got all my Christmas shopping done with 2 weeks to spare (it would've been more but I decided that I wanted to get one more thing like a week after I was finally done). But then Secret Santa tried to kill me two days before Christmas. Long story.
-I survived a crazy hard 3-hour intensive typically senior level college class that was crammed into half a semester. I still haven't recovered even though it was over in October. Everyday was like:

A Summary Of My Interests & Favs.
-Star Wars is still my favorite-st ever.
-Mara Jade is still my favorite character.
-I enjoy Art (Including but not limited to: Painting, Drawing, Sewing, Crafting, Baking, Beading, Stamp Making, Crochet, and my new thing is Masquerade Masks).
-I greatly enjoy music and had quite the year of listening to new stuff. I've played guitar lately but hit up the piano fairly regularly too.
-I enjoy reading and writing, did a lot of the former and some of the later this year.
-And costume/cosplay of course! I had the opportunity to attend a 20s party and nailed, I mean NAILED, my costume. I was Star Lord for a dress up night at my church's children's group (which I volunteer in) and one of the kids in my group came as Groot. It was perfect. I am looking forward to making a Jay (from Ninjago) costume for ninja night.

For Christmas I got:
-The Footloose soundtrack on CD and Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack (deluxe) and Labyrinth soundtrack on Vinyl.
-A Baby Yoda snow globe/music box and some Star Wars Books.

-A Star Wars scarf from my secret santa at work.
-A new Alarm Clock 'cause I've had the same one since I was like 8 (so this thing is like 11 1/2 years old and still runs) but my mom wanted to give me one with a more pleasant alarm (I'm never going to part with my old one though, it's going in a keepsake box. And before you judge me, just think we might not have alarm clocks in 20 years and my kids will be like, "WHOAH MOM that things is ANCIENT.").

For Christams I gave:
-My mom a Sweater, paint palette, and nail polish.
-My dad a Top Gun shirt and a retro guitar shirt (the guitars were retro not the shirt haha).
-My bro a Castle In The Sky t-shirt and a casual gamer magazine (I thought it was like for RPGs and stuff but I found it it's for like, card and board games, but yeah).
-My really good friend leather gloves, a magnifying glass necklace, and chocolate per our:

-Jazz got a tank heater earlier in this winter because he was too cold (we could tell 'cause he was laying around all day and not eating and the internet said that could be because he was too cold and sure enough), so that's his present.
-I did a Secret Santa thing at work (total nightmare), but the person I got put down: Gag gift, Anime (Naruto and One Piece), and cash. So I got him the 1st 3 volumes of the One Piece Manga and a Naruto key chain and lanyard and wrapped it in baby shower wrapping paper (you know, gag).
